This morning, the S&P 500 Index e-mini futures (ES-U3) are trading lower by 2.50 points to 1701.50 per contract. Traders and investors experienced the lightest trading volume session of the year yesterday. This tells most traders that they must take advantage of the early part of the trading session when volume and volatility will be the highest. There are still many companies reporting earnings so the early part of the trading session is still filled with opportunities.
Last night, the leading Asian stock indexes were mixed on the session. The biggest loser in Asia was the Bombay Sensex Index (India) finishing lower by 2.34 percent. This decline tells us to watch for early weakness in most of the leading Indian ADR's if the U.S. stock markets come under selling pressure. Some leading Indian related equities that are subject to early volatility include the India Fund, Inc.(IFN), Tata Motors Limited (ADR) (TTM), and Infosys Ltd ADR (INFY).
