The fund may invest about one-fifth of its assets in securities of non-U.S. companies. Hartford Small Cap Growth HLS IB has a three-year annualized return of 7%.

HBSGX has an expense ratio of 0.90% as compared to the category average of 1.37%.

Hartford Stock HLS IB HIBSX seeks capital appreciation over the long run. Though HIBSX invests in equity securities of companies irrespective of their market capitalization, it invests a significant portion of its assets in securities of companies with market capitalization similar to those listed on the Russell 1000 Index.
