Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy, Software & Computer Services and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 3.06% or 1.04 points to trade at 34.99 at the close. Meanwhile, BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) added 2.17% or 0.950 points to end at 44.700 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 0.89% or 1.4 points to 164.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 2.24% or 0.130 points to trade at 5.685 at the close. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) declined 1.78% or 1.18 points to end at 65.16 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 1.75% or 0.85 points to 47.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 121 to 87 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.78% or 1.18 to 65.16. Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.75% or 0.85 to 47.80.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.80% or 0.48 to $59.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $67.39 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 6.45 to trade at $1314.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.90% to 9.7096, while USD/NOK rose 0.99% to 8.6280.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 96.387.
