Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Luxottica Group (MI:LUX), which rose 2.39% or 1.13 points to trade at 48.38 at the close. Meanwhile, A2A (MI:A2) added 2.12% or 0.030 points to end at 1.448 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was up 1.69% or 0.19 points to 11.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which fell 3.37% or 0.5900 points to trade at 16.9100 at the close. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 3.29% or 0.102 points to end at 2.994 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was down 2.98% or 0.1240 points to 4.0340.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 196 to 178 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.01% or 1.06 to $53.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.50% or 0.89 to hit $60.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.28 to trade at $1271.88 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.58% to 1.1584, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8832.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 94.92.
