PRAGUE, March 30 (Reuters) - The Czech anti-monopoly office has opened a case against Telefonica O2 Czech Republic for abuse of its dominant position in the form of a margin squeeze, the telecom said on Wednesday.
The case dates back to 2005 and follows a preliminary investigation, head of investor relations Jakub Hampl said.
"There was some preliminary investigations already and (the office) had requested information from us regarding wholesale pricing back in 2005," he said.
Czech news agency CTK reported on Wednesday that the anti-monopoly office UOHS suspects Telefonica O2 CR of abusing its position in high-speed internet connections. An UOHS spokesman declined to immediately comment.
