Investing.com - Shares of Trade Desk Inc (NASDAQ:TTD) lept in the after hours session, more than making up for their regular session losses as the company topped second quarter expectations and boosted its full-year guidance.
The company earned 52 cents per share in the quarter, well above the 33 cents analysts were expecting, while revenue was $72.8 million, topping analysts' consensus expectations by $4.78 million.
The technology company said that it continues to see momentum and is expecting higher revenues for the rest of the year. The company is guiding its third quarter revenues to $76 million versus analysts' expectations for $74.1 million. For the full year, the company raised its guidance to $303 million from $291 million, above consensus for $294.3 million.
Shares were indicated up nearly 95% in the after hours, more than covering the 7.2% they fell in the regular session. Shares could see more activity as the company's earnings call kicks off at 5 p.m. ET Thursday.
