(Reuters) -Toyota Motor said Friday it is recalling about 380,000 trucks in the United States over an axle issue that could increase the risk of a crash.

The recall covers 2022 and 2023 model year Tacoma vehicles because an axle shaft separation can impact vehicle stability and brake performance due to debris causing improperly secured fasteners, according to a filing by Toyota (NYSE:TM) with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Dealers will inspect the rear axle assembly and retighten the axle retaining nuts and damaged axle components may be repaired or replaced based if needed.

Toyota said it has no reports of warranty claims or field reports of incidents related to the recall.

Toyota opened an investigation into the issue after in late October finding an issue involving an axle housing. Toyota said during the investigation, Toyota and its supplier found issues within the supplier’s inspection process for completed axle assemblies, the company said.

Toyota has issued three other recalls in the United States over last two weeks, including calling back 280,000 2022-2024 Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, Lexus LX600, and 2023-2024 Sequoia Hybrid models because vehicles may have unexpected movement when the vehicle is in neutral and the brakes are not applied. Dealers will apply a software update to address the issue.
