Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 8.42% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which fell 1.24% or 5.9 points to trade at 471.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) fell 2.73% or 7.6 points to end at 271.1 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) was down 4.93% or 13.0 points to 250.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which fell 14.88% or 13.82 points to trade at 79.08 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 11.93% or 17.8 points to end at 131.4 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was down 11.31% or 9.50 points to 74.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 586 to 39 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.75% or 1.31 to $46.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.69% or 1.32 to hit $47.72 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1323.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.29% to 9.4361, while USD/SEK rose 1.14% to 8.5597.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.94% at 96.53.
