Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 2.08%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 0.13% or 0.3 points to trade at 233.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) fell 0.13% or 0.20 points to end at 150.40 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.65% or 0.50 points to 76.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which fell 4.74% or 4.10 points to trade at 82.40 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.98% or 1.40 points to end at 33.74 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was down 3.71% or 9.8 points to 254.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 411 to 137 and 62 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.63% or 0.29 to $45.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.11% or 0.53 to hit $47.24 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.04% or 25.85 to trade at $1292.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.34% to 9.1938, while USD/SEK fell 0.41% to 8.0368.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.64% at 93.13.
