Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.95%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which rose 1.09% or 1.9 points to trade at 176.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 0.40% or 0.12 points to end at 30.12 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 0.15% or 0.06 points to 39.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which fell 15.78% or 9.62 points to trade at 51.33 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) declined 4.26% or 5.4 points to end at 121.3 and Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) was down 2.58% or 10.6 points to 399.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 492 to 226 and 84 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.48% or 0.22 to $46.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.58% or 0.28 to hit $48.70 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 8.57 to trade at $1242.27 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.69% to 9.5815, while USD/SEK fell 0.19% to 8.2750.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.62% at 94.33.
