Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 1.44% or 0.42 points to trade at 29.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) added 1.08% or 2.00 points to end at 187.30 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 0.84% or 0.75 points to 89.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 3.49% or 4.80 points to trade at 132.70 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 3.41% or 5.0 points to end at 141.6 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 3.05% or 2.30 points to 73.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 318 to 224 and 53 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.57% or 1.37 to $36.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 3.87% or 1.56 to hit $38.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.69% or 20.90 to trade at $1214.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 9.2385, while USD/SEK fell 0.03% to 8.1143.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.70.
