Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 2.14% or 5.9 points to trade at 281.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) added 2.06% or 2.50 points to end at 123.90 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 2.01% or 11.0 points to 559.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 3.36% or 4.30 points to trade at 123.60 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 3.13% or 7.6 points to end at 235.5 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 3.08% or 1.01 points to 31.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 282 to 273 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.14% or 5.9 to 281.9.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.80% or 0.37 to $45.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.13% or 0.07 to hit $48.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1107.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.27% to 9.3995, while USD/SEK rose 0.24% to 8.6471.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 98.12.
