Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 5.10% or 1.34 points to trade at 27.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 3.51% or 2.80 points to end at 82.65 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 2.38% or 3.7 points to 159.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which fell 5.35% or 6.1 points to trade at 107.9 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) declined 1.93% or 3.6 points to end at 182.5 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was down 1.54% or 2.5 points to 159.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 266 to 264 and 55 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.46% or 1.33 to $39.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.23% or 0.90 to hit $41.23 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 2.93% or 36.00 to trade at $1265.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.40% to 9.2624, while USD/SEK fell 0.49% to 8.1793.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.01% at 94.73.
