Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 2.41% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 6.29% or 8.10 points to trade at 136.90 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 4.67% or 1.23 points to end at 27.55 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 4.36% or 7.8 points to 186.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 3.70% or 17.00 points to trade at 442.00 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 0.10% or 0.05 points to end at 50.15 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.80% or 2.0 points to 252.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 381 to 140 and 64 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.11% or 0.80 to $38.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.82% or 0.33 to hit $40.38 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.04% or 13.20 to trade at $1259.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.51% to 9.3209, while USD/SEK fell 0.50% to 8.3392.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 96.03.
