Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.54%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.99% or 0.76 points to trade at 19.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 3.66% or 5.40 points to end at 152.90 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 3.18% or 2.35 points to 76.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 4.82% or 2.30 points to trade at 45.43 at the close. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) declined 0.49% or 0.18 points to end at 36.38 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) was down 0.36% or 0.9 points to 247.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 414 to 161 and 43 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.88% or 1.33 to $47.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.14% or 1.48 to hit $48.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.60% or 7.85 to trade at $1290.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.33% to 9.3918, while USD/SEK rose 0.03% to 8.3413.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 94.44.
