Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.95% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which rose 3.15% or 8.2 points to trade at 268.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.66% or 2.60 points to end at 159.20 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 1.60% or 2.7 points to 171.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 0.56% or 0.45 points to trade at 79.75 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) declined 0.21% or 0.3 points to end at 145.0 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was 0.00% or 0.0 points to 505.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 392 to 220 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.03% or 0.47 to $46.04 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.90% or 0.42 to hit $47.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.21% or 2.60 to trade at $1226.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 9.8271, while USD/SEK rose 0.26% to 9.2233.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 100.66.
