Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which rose 1.49% or 1.8 points to trade at 122.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 1.45% or 1.35 points to end at 94.60 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 1.11% or 1.00 points to 91.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which fell 5.63% or 7.80 points to trade at 130.80 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 2.55% or 2.20 points to end at 84.20 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 1.53% or 1.10 points to 70.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 326 to 286 and 50 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $44.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.22% or 0.10 to hit $46.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1276.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.21% to 9.9421, while USD/SEK fell 0.11% to 9.0137.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 97.88.
