Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.51% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 7.58% or 5.50 points to trade at 78.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 4.43% or 2.40 points to end at 56.55 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 3.79% or 1.97 points to 53.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs), which fell 6.27% or 9.7 points to trade at 145.0 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.80% or 1.04 points to end at 36.10 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was down 2.28% or 5.4 points to 231.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 358 to 255 and 73 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.58% or 5.50 to 78.10.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.27% or 1.20 to $53.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.45% or 1.35 to hit $56.43 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.94% or 11.25 to trade at $1186.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.27% to 9.4520, while USD/SEK rose 0.46% to 8.8585.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.72% at 100.63.
