Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which rose 2.72% or 6.8 points to trade at 257.0 at the close. Meanwhile, SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) added 2.11% or 3.1 points to end at 150.0 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 1.60% or 2.60 points to 165.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 6.15% or 2.80 points to trade at 42.70 at the close. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) declined 5.12% or 10.1 points to end at 187.2 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was down 4.76% or 4.20 points to 84.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 330 to 281 and 51 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.61% or 0.79 to $49.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.64% or 0.82 to hit $50.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.25% or 3.15 to trade at $1269.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 1.65% to 9.8817, while USD/SEK rose 1.72% to 9.0655.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 98.87.
