Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which rose 2.96% or 5.0 points to trade at 173.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 2.23% or 3.20 points to end at 146.50 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 1.93% or 1.55 points to 82.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which fell 3.78% or 5.0 points to trade at 127.3 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 3.02% or 6.2 points to end at 198.9 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was down 2.49% or 5.5 points to 215.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 285 to 268 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.23% or 3.20 to 146.50.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.47% or 1.48 to $44.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.27% or 1.45 to hit $45.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.25% or 3.15 to trade at $1243.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.02% to 9.1633, while USD/SEK fell 0.39% to 8.0997.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 94.36.
