Investing.com - Stocks in focus in premarket trading on Friday:
• Semiconductor companies were in the spotlight in premarket trade by 8:20 AM ET (12:20 GMT) after Korean giant Samsung (KS:005930) said it expects second-quarter profit to have fallen dramatically. Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) fell 0.7%, while Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) was down 2.8% and NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) lost 0.5%.
• Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) stock slipped 0.2% after the U.K.’s Competition and Markets Authority told the e-commerce giant to pause its integration with meal delivery service Deliveroo, while it decides whether or not to launch an investigation into a possible competition breach.
• Bayerische Motoren Werke (OTC:BMWYY) stock is likely to see movement, after CEO Harald Krueger said he is not extending his contract with the automaker. The company is expected to appoint a replacement CEO later in July.
• Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) declined 0.3% after Reuters reported that the bank’s Irish subsidiary was fined 5.9 million euros for breaching regulatory reporting requirements.
