Investing.com - Stocks in focus in pre-market trade Tuesday:
·Papa John's International Inc (NASDAQ:PZZA) stock surged 8.73% as of 8:20 AM ET (12:20 GMT) after news that Wendy’s (NASDAQ:WEN) shareholder Trian Fund Management is considering making a bid for the pizza chain.
· Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) stock dipped 0.41% after the company announced it is investing in Singapore-based ride-hailing company Grab.
· Boeing (NYSE:BA) stock decreased 0.41% after European regulators approved its joint venture with Adient to make aircraft seats.
· Tilray (NASDAQ:TLRY) stock rose 1.07% after the company completed its acquisition of import and distribution partner Alef Biotechnology. The move allows Tilray to produce and import medical marijuana products in Chile. The stock's price target was also boosted to $172 by S.G. Cowen, StreetInsider reported.
· Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) stock is likely to see movement after the company announced it was not competing for the Pentagon’s $10 billion cloud computing contract, saying it would conflict with its corporate values. The company also announced it was closing down Google Plus after a security breach.
