Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS), which rose 4.37% or 0.345 points to trade at 8.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Acerinox (MC:ACX) added 1.30% or 0.170 points to end at 13.265 and Viscofan (MC:VIS) was up 0.75% or 0.360 points to 48.430 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Popular (MC:POP), which fell 1.27% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.932 at the close. Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) declined 0.82% or 0.12 points to end at 15.12 and Bankinter (MC:BKT) was down 0.77% or 0.058 points to 7.436.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 83 to 80 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.17% or 2.05 to $1203.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.39% or 0.19 to hit $48.30 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.21% or 0.11 to trade at $51.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.0665, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.8715.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 101.15.
