Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 1.23%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which rose 2.27% or 0.610 points to trade at 27.430 at the close. Meanwhile, Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL) added 0.81% or 0.070 points to end at 8.710 and Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) was up 0.62% or 0.360 points to 58.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS), which fell 3.34% or 0.960 points to trade at 27.780 at the close. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) declined 2.78% or 0.340 points to end at 11.910 and Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) was down 2.33% or 0.095 points to 3.980.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 112 to 64 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.34% or 0.960 to 27.780.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.27% or 3.60 to $1330.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.34% or 0.20 to hit $59.09 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $62.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.53% to 1.2357, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8904.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 89.56.
