Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Financial Services & Real Estate and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (MC:IDR), which rose 1.29% or 0.170 points to trade at 13.310 at the close. Meanwhile, Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) added 0.85% or 0.240 points to end at 28.560 and Abertis Infr (MC:ABE) was up 0.77% or 0.130 points to 16.920 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX), which fell 2.00% or 0.37 points to trade at 18.12 at the close. Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) declined 1.47% or 0.080 points to end at 5.351 and Melia Hotels (MC:MEL) was down 1.45% or 0.180 points to 12.240.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 89 to 79 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.39% or 5.04 to $1297.04 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.40% or 0.19 to hit $47.62 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $52.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.67% to 1.1879, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.9221.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 92.67.
