Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Goods and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which rose 2.55% or 2.040 points to trade at 82.060 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrovial (MC:FER) added 2.41% or 0.430 points to end at 18.300 and Viscofan (MC:VIS) was up 2.15% or 1.350 points to 64.150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which fell 4.31% or 0.470 points to trade at 10.430 at the close. International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) declined 2.13% or 0.158 points to end at 7.244 and Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) was down 1.70% or 0.067 points to 3.870.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 100 to 76 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) rose to all time highs; up 2.55% or 2.040 to 82.060.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 2.70 to $1193.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.05% or 1.50 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.95% or 1.61 to trade at $84.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1573, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8877.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.94.
