Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrial Investment, Insurance and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060), which rose 5.98% or 1.80 points to trade at 31.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Andalus Property Co SJSC (SE:4320) added 2.68% or 0.55 points to end at 21.05 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) was up 2.54% or 0.40 points to 16.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which fell 9.95% or 2.20 points to trade at 19.90 at the close. Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE:1210) declined 9.45% or 2.40 points to end at 23.00 and National Industrialization Co (SE:2060) was down 7.60% or 1.25 points to 15.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 124 to 32 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE:1210) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.45% or 2.40 to 23.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.18% or 0.56 to $47.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.10% or 0.55 to hit $50.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.21 to trade at $1221.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.09% to 4.0724, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7498.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 99.64.
