- Cheniere Energy (NYSEMKT:LNG) has produced nearly enough liquefied natural gas at its export terminal near Corpus Christi, Tex., to ship a full cargo, which would be the first from the site since the Nov. 14 startup, S&P Global (NYSE:SPGI) Platts reports.
- Despite uncertainty on timing, activity has picked up at the Texas terminal, according to the report; feedgas deliveries to the 700M cf/day capacity Train 1 ramped up to an average of ~300M cf/day since Friday, peaking at more than 400M cf/day on Sunday.
- In anticipation of increased LNG production at Corpusi, Cheniere asked Williams' (NYSE:WMB) Transco to start up early an expansion project that will boost the amount of feedgas available to serve the export terminal; Transco said in a FERC filing last week that it was requesting permission for partial in-service of the Gulf Connector Expansion Project by Nov. 27 so it would be able to provide the LNG terminal up to 290M cf/day of service on an interim basis along the full path of the project beginning Dec. 1.
