Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 1.58% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP), which rose 1.71% or 0.90 points to trade at 53.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 1.43% or 0.14 points to end at 9.90 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was up 0.77% or 0.21 points to 27.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP), which fell 6.75% or 0.31 points to trade at 4.28 at the close. Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) declined 5.71% or 2.95 points to end at 48.70 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was down 4.00% or 6.90 points to 165.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 292 to 180 and 183 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) fell to 3-years lows; down 6.75% or 0.31 to 4.28.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.05% or 0.49 to $47.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.77% or 0.37 to hit $48.33 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.67% or 9.15 to trade at $1367.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.02% to 4.4394, while USD/PLN fell 0.19% to 4.0044.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 96.24.
