Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Information Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which rose 7.74% or 4.90 points to trade at 68.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) added 2.90% or 2.00 points to end at 71.00 and PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) was up 1.74% or 1.08 points to 63.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which fell 3.80% or 0.25 points to trade at 6.33 at the close. Synthos SA (WA:SNS) declined 3.79% or 0.180 points to end at 4.570 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was down 3.17% or 0.86 points to 26.28.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 300 to 215 and 184 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.97% or 0.46 to $47.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.22% or 0.61 to hit $49.34 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.20 to trade at $1281.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.09% to 4.1915, while USD/PLN rose 0.33% to 3.7258.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 96.81.
