Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Developers and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.49% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 3.64% or 6.05 points to trade at 172.40 at the close. Meanwhile, OrangePL (WA:OPL) added 3.63% or 0.18 points to end at 5.14 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was up 1.35% or 0.70 points to 52.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH), which fell 2.27% or 1.56 points to trade at 67.28 at the close. Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) declined 2.03% or 0.060 points to end at 2.890 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was down 2.01% or 0.18 points to 8.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 258 to 213 and 186 ended unchanged.
Shares in Energa SA (WA:ENGP) fell to all time lows; down 2.01% or 0.18 to 8.78.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 4.53% or 2.22 to $46.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 4.29% or 2.15 to hit $47.95 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.25% or 16.75 to trade at $1355.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.43% to 4.4550, while USD/PLN rose 1.14% to 4.0232.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.64% at 96.22.
