Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Food, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were mBank SA (WA:MBK), which rose 2.79% or 8.40 points to trade at 309.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) added 2.64% or 0.42 points to end at 16.30 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was up 2.27% or 3.75 points to 168.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which fell 4.88% or 2.55 points to trade at 49.75 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 3.75% or 2.75 points to end at 70.50 and Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU) was down 3.16% or 0.98 points to 30.02.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 356 to 144 and 179 ended unchanged.
Shares in Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.16% or 0.98 to 30.02.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.63% or 0.31 to $48.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.59% or 0.30 to hit $50.24 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.83% or 10.65 to trade at $1286.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.87% to 4.4150, while USD/PLN rose 0.56% to 3.9121.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 94.42.
