Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which rose 1.92% or 5.80 points to trade at 307.80 at the close. Meanwhile, OrangePL (WA:OPL) added 1.62% or 0.08 points to end at 5.03 and LPP SA (WA:LPPP) was up 1.25% or 81.95 points to 6630.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE), which fell 2.17% or 0.080 points to trade at 3.600 at the close. Synthos SA (WA:SNS) declined 2.02% or 0.090 points to end at 4.360 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) was down 1.95% or 1.10 points to 55.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 255 to 227 and 186 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.32% or 0.56 to $43.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.58% or 0.71 to hit $45.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 6.99 to trade at $1252.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.44% to 4.2335, while USD/PLN fell 0.27% to 3.7971.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.28.
