Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Chemicals and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 5.07% or 1.39 points to trade at 28.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP) added 2.85% or 1.57 points to end at 56.57 and ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) was up 2.70% or 4.00 points to 152.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU), which fell 7.36% or 1.95 points to trade at 24.55 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 2.07% or 1.35 points to end at 63.81 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was down 1.69% or 0.43 points to 25.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 273 to 262 and 193 ended unchanged.
Shares in Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU) fell to all time lows; falling 7.36% or 1.95 to 24.55. Shares in ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) rose to all time highs; up 2.70% or 4.00 to 152.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.13% or 1.00 to $48.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.83% or 0.90 to hit $50.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.45 to trade at $1321.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.33% to 4.3103, while USD/PLN rose 0.10% to 3.8335.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 95.31.
