Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 2.24% or 1.51 points to trade at 69.01 at the close. Meanwhile, OrangePL (WA:OPL) added 2.19% or 0.11 points to end at 5.14 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) was up 1.90% or 0.18 points to 9.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which fell 2.99% or 0.20 points to trade at 6.50 at the close. Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) declined 2.88% or 1.59 points to end at 53.66 and mBank SA (WA:MBK) was down 2.69% or 12.35 points to 447.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 236 to 235 and 191 ended unchanged.
Shares in Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) rose to 3-years highs; up 1.90% or 0.18 to 9.65.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.73% or 0.31 to $43.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.80% or 0.36 to hit $45.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 8.18 to trade at $1257.58 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.23% to 4.2245, while USD/PLN fell 0.65% to 3.7721.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 96.94.
