Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 3.11% or 2.07 points to trade at 68.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 2.16% or 1.22 points to end at 57.59 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was up 1.86% or 0.61 points to 33.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which fell 5.17% or 0.35 points to trade at 6.42 at the close. Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) declined 3.23% or 0.30 points to end at 9.00 and PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) was down 2.74% or 1.80 points to 63.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 270 to 247 and 178 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.45% or 0.66 to $46.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.30% or 0.63 to hit $49.01 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.66 to trade at $1229.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.47% to 4.2088, while USD/PLN fell 0.58% to 3.8274.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 98.51.
