Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Energy and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 2.05%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 7.82% or 5.63 points to trade at 77.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 7.29% or 0.71 points to end at 10.45 and Bank Handlowy w Warszawie SA (WA:BHW) was up 5.11% or 3.63 points to 74.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which fell 2.01% or 1.01 points to trade at 49.20 at the close. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 1.96% or 3.45 points to end at 172.50 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was down 1.33% or 0.82 points to 60.66.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 287 to 232 and 162 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.66% or 0.33 to $50.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.05% or 0.53 to hit $51.08 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.85 to trade at $1244.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.23% to 4.3474, while USD/PLN fell 0.21% to 3.8293.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 93.89.
