Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Media, Banking and Developers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which rose 14.12% or 555.40 points to trade at 4490.00 at the close. Meanwhile, PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) added 9.21% or 3.50 points to end at 41.50 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was up 3.47% or 6.15 points to 183.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP), which fell 2.17% or 1.21 points to trade at 54.50 at the close. Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) declined 1.92% or 0.050 points to end at 2.550 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was down 1.33% or 0.10 points to 7.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 271 to 261 and 184 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.70% or 0.34 to $48.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.88% or 0.44 to hit $50.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.55 to trade at $1314.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.08% to 4.2981, while USD/PLN rose 0.33% to 3.8338.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 95.65.
