Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 3.23% or 0.92 points to trade at 29.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) added 2.10% or 1.43 points to end at 69.43 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was up 1.72% or 0.39 points to 23.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP), which fell 5.51% or 3.85 points to trade at 66.00 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) declined 3.77% or 2.26 points to end at 57.74 and Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) was down 3.01% or 1.15 points to 37.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 311 to 258 and 104 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP) fell to all time lows; losing 5.51% or 3.85 to 66.00.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.66% or 1.02 to $60.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.53% or 1.00 to hit $64.69 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.61% or 7.20 to trade at $1179.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.10% to 4.1383, while USD/PLN rose 0.71% to 3.6840.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 95.20.
