Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Electricity and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 2.55%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 1.85% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.275 at the close. Meanwhile, Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) added 1.70% or 0.100 points to end at 6.000 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 13.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 12.62% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.090 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 8.81% or 0.037 points to end at 0.383 and Milpo (LM:MIL) was down 8.21% or 0.160 points to 1.790.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 27 to 2 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) unchanged to 52-week highs; unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 to 13.700.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.58% or 0.22 to $37.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.05% or 0.02 to hit $39.68 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.52% or 18.60 to trade at $1242.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3970, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8519.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 94.50.
