Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining, Services and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 1.52% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 0.92% or 0.001 points to trade at 0.109 at the close. Meanwhile, Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) added 0.51% or 0.020 points to end at 3.950 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was up 0.08% or 0.010 points to 12.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 23.44% or 0.075 points to trade at 0.245 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 6.60% or 0.410 points to end at 5.800 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was down 6.32% or 0.160 points to 2.370.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 6 and 8 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.71% or 1.24 to $44.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.57% or 1.25 to hit $47.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.22% or 14.00 to trade at $1131.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.57% to 3.2365, while EUR/PEN rose 0.42% to 3.6028.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 96.13.
