Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 1.36%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 2.06% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) added 1.05% or 0.200 points to end at 19.200 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 0.30% or 0.020 points to 6.680 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0% or 0 points to trade at 0.05 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 5.29% or 0.190 points to end at 3.400 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was down 3.29% or 4.350 points to 128.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 3 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 5.29% or 0.190 to 3.400. Shares in Credicorp (LM:BAP) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.29% or 4.350 to 128.000.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.54% or 0.23 to $43.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.27% or 0.14 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.34% or 3.80 to trade at $1107.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.48% to 3.2190, while EUR/PEN rose 0.95% to 3.5331.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.00% at 97.24.
