Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Mining and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 1.57% or 0.090 points to trade at 5.830 at the close. Meanwhile, Edelnor (LM:EDN) added 0.90% or 0.050 points to end at 5.600 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 0.43% or 0.050 points to 11.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 3.90% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.740 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 3.16% or 0.006 points to end at 0.184 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was down 2.16% or 0.400 points to 18.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 12 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.89% or 0.44 to $49.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $50.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.40 to trade at $1269.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.16% to 3.3766, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6801.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 98.92.
