Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Milpo (LM:MIL), which rose 6.62% or 0.180 points to trade at 2.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 3.24% or 0.180 points to end at 5.740 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 2.18% or 0.250 points to 11.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which fell 3.70% or 0.720 points to trade at 18.750 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 2.43% or 0.340 points to end at 13.650 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was down 2.04% or 0.150 points to 7.200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Milpo (LM:MIL) rose to 3-years highs; rising 6.62% or 0.180 to 2.900.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.89% or 0.43 to $48.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $50.76 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.24% or 3.10 to trade at $1314.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3870, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8024.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 95.65.
