Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 4.10% or 0.430 points to trade at 10.930 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 2.44% or 0.005 points to end at 0.210 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 1.96% or 0.110 points to 5.710 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Milpo (LM:MIL), which fell 1.82% or 0.040 points to trade at 2.160 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 1.46% or 0.070 points to end at 4.730 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was down 1.33% or 1.900 points to 141.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 9 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.75% or 1.64 to $58.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.64% or 1.69 to hit $62.12 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.79% or 9.40 to trade at $1175.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.10% to 3.1495, while EUR/PEN rose 1.91% to 3.5786.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 95.49.
