Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which rose 3.37% or 0.150 points to trade at 4.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Unacem (LM:CEL) added 1.12% or 0.020 points to end at 1.810 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 0.88% or 0.050 points to 5.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 4.17% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.115 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 3.33% or 0.010 points to end at 0.290 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 2.44% or 0.003 points to 0.123.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 10 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) fell to all time lows; down 3.33% or 0.010 to 0.290.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.65% or 0.29 to $44.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.34% or 0.17 to hit $48.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.30% or 3.30 to trade at $1091.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.3093, while EUR/PEN fell 0.44% to 3.5709.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 99.11.
