Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 3.08% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.268 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 2.78% or 0.150 points to end at 5.550 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 2.61% or 0.350 points to 13.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which fell 4.76% or 0.300 points to trade at 6.000 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 2.05% or 0.007 points to end at 0.335 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was down 1.59% or 0.010 points to 0.620.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.43% or 0.68 to $46.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $49.43 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.55 to trade at $1326.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3540, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7495.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.53.
