Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.01% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 4.17% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) added 3.09% or 1.08 points to end at 36.03 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 3.09% or 0.030 points to 1.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 5.80% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.130 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 3.04% or 0.007 points to end at 0.223 and ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) was down 1.77% or 0.140 points to 7.760.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 7 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) fell to 3-years lows; falling 5.80% or 0.008 to 0.130.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.09% or 1.37 to $45.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $48.15 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 3.74 to trade at $1216.94 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2568, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7237.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 95.49.
