Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which rose 6.35% or 0.400 points to trade at 6.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) added 4.16% or 1.06 points to end at 26.56 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 2.56% or 0.340 points to 13.640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE), which fell 3.64% or 0.200 points to trade at 5.300 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) declined 2.50% or 0.010 points to end at 0.390 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was down 0.67% or 0.050 points to 7.430.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 5 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.35% or 0.400 to 6.700.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 5.48% or 2.45 to $47.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $49.31 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.39% or 5.15 to trade at $1325.25 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3725, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7777.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 95.31.
