Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 12.61% or 0.580 points to trade at 5.180 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 7.94% or 0.025 points to end at 0.340 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 3.80% or 0.015 points to 0.410 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 4.49% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.850 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 3.80% or 0.007 points to end at 0.177 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was down 0.48% or 0.020 points to 4.160.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 5 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.54% or 0.82 to $52.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.57% or 0.87 to hit $54.48 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.15 to trade at $1132.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.29% to 3.3915, while EUR/PEN rose 0.08% to 3.5408.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 103.04.
